Spicy Tomato Jam
I've been seeing recipes for tomato jam for a long time, but I never tried it until this year, when I found a recipe by Sarah Thrush that used spices that made it seem really interesting.
Jimmy is now on his second jar of Spicy Tomato Jam. He spreads it on sourdough toast for a snack. I think it will be great as a sandwich spread or on top of a burger. The flavor is robust and nicely spicy. A bit of summer and a bit of autumn in a jar.
Ingredients: fresh tomatoes, lemon juice, natural fruit pectin, sugar, allspice, cinnamon, cloves
